OCA Music Lunchtime Concert

Our online lunchtime concert series continues with Fionagh Bennet (Organ). The concerts are open to all of OCA, staff and students, and are an informal opportunity to share performances with a supportive audience. 

Fionagh Benet – Biography

As a Methodist Minister’s daughter, I was brought up with organs and their music. I began  formal piano lessons aged eight, and when I was tall enough to reach the pedals, I also  received organ lessons from the church organist. My father often took me with him to play for  services when there was no available organist. My organ studies continued with George  Blackmore FRCO. 

Electronic organs were beginning to become popular shortly after I left school, and I started  gigging with one such instrument, playing for dancing, socials or background music in  restaurants, and also in function bands.
